On March 16th, Bobby Martin visited Products of Design to talk about his work, his life, and his lessons. Bobby is a designer and educator based in New York City, and co-founded the branding and design agency, OCD | The Original Champions of Design. At OCD, he develops brand identity systems for a broad range of clients that include the Friends of the High Line, Girl Scouts of the USA, the National Basketball Association, The New York Times and Nike. His work has won numerous awards from AIGA, the Art Directors Club, Brand New, D&AD, Print and the Type Directors Club. Prior to founding OCD, Martin lead an internal design team at Nokia in London. Tasked with the redesign of their global packaging range, he managed implementation of the new packaging design strategy across four continents. He has also served as design director of Jazz at Lincoln Center. Working with Artistic Director, Wynton Marsalis, Martin implemented the brand identity as the organization moved to its new home at the TimeWarner Center in Columbus Circle.
