Pierre Alexandre de Looz

Pierre Alexandre de Looz is a Brooklyn- based writer, architect, and educator. His courses span interdisciplinary engagements across design practices, contemporary literature and critical discourse.  As a consultant, he helped launch several independent culture and fashion magazines including Mastermind for stylist Marie-Amelie Sauve and Document Journal where he served as editor for the first three seasons. Since 2006, he has been PIN-UP magazine’s editor-at-large, an industry-recognized leader in cultural journalism about architecture which he co-founded with Felix Burrichter. He has written on art, design, and fashion for numerous other publications including The New York Times Style Magazine, Fantastic Man, 032c, and Bomb among others. In addition to teaching in Products of Design, Mr. Delooz leads thesis research in the Master’s program for Design Research, Writing and Criticism at SVA.
