Last Wednesday, Nate Silver, founder of 538.com, visited the MFA Products of Design department as part of our Visiting Lecture Series. Nate presented a talk on the perils of data and information, what to look out for when drawing out conclusions, and some practical advice for moving forward. A robust Q&A follows the lecture, and Chair Allan Chochinov provides a few minutes up front, framing the program pedagogy and its belief that the materials of design—including "information as a material"—need to be reconsidered. Enjoy the video, along with some snapshots of the evening.
