Concept Sketches from 3D Product Design III
Our second-year students are beginning to brainstorm concepts for physical products that address an unmet need within their thesis problem space.
Last week, in 3D Product Design III, taught by Sinclair Smith, students let their industrial design skills—and imaginations—roam free. The results were captured in pages upon pages of beautiful sketches.
We’ve included a selection below. Enjoy!
Sketches by Kira Fu ’25 exploring more ergonomic toilet design.
Jiaqi Gu ’25 working on sketches in the South Classroom on a sunny NYC morning.
Sketches by Jinny Zhang ’25 exploring ways to relieve medical anxiety in children.
Tao Tao Holmes ’25 visually brainstorming product ideas and components.
Sketches by Nymph Yang ’25 exploring ways to alleviate pet-human separation anxiety.
Additional sketches by Nymph Yang ’25, featuring multi-functional pet toys.
Additional sketches by Jinny Zhang ’25, featuring a pill dispenser design for young children.
