Jeffery Allan

Jeffrey is a designer and engineer born and raised just outside New York City. He studied at Northeastern University in Boston, where he discovered his passion for design and earned a BSME in Mechanical Engineering and Experience Design. He was among the first students to graduate with a combined degree spanning the College of Engineering and the College of Arts, Media, and Design (CAMD), with a focus on prototyping consumer products. He views design as a means of improving others' lives by solving problems in ways that create positive, meaningful, and fulfilling experiences. After graduating, Jeffrey worked as a mechanical design engineer in the HVAC and building systems industry, most recently at ABS Engineering in Manhattan. Bringing a strong technical foundation to his work, Jeffrey joined the MFA Products of Design program to deepen his aesthetic perspective and develop his own voice as a designer.

Morgan Bullis is a designer from Long Island, New York. She graduated magna cum laude from Bucknell University with a BS in Business Administration, majoring in Markets, Innovation & Design, and minoring in Entrepreneurship and Visual Design. Through internships and collaborations with local clients, she gained experience across graphic, web, and industrial design and developed a passion for product design and development. Combining a strategic business background with hands-on creative experience, Morgan approaches design through a human-centered, research-driven lens. At MFA Products of Design, she hopes to deepen her physical making skills and create meaningful products that provide lasting value.

Cera Dong is a multidisciplinary artist and designer from China who was raised in Canada and now considers New York City home. She earned a BFA in Communication Design from Parsons School of Design and has worked as a freelance graphic designer for DIY music venues and events, including Mercury Lounge, Market Hotel, and Bowery Electric. Her experience also includes working as an artist assistant at Muse Paintbar in Tribeca, where she developed an interest in creative education and community, and as a painting instructor at Art From The Heart in Vancouver. At MFA Products of Design, Cera is excited to expand her creative practice and explore the possibilities of working across art, design, and education.

Gina is a designer interested in the relationships between objects, spaces, and human experience. Raised in one of the four corners of Tennessee, she is drawn to the niche, distinctive, and unexpected. She earned a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and spent several years in New York City as a model maker and designer at MeierArchitects, while also contributing to art direction and production design for music videos, short films, and independent projects. Gina is interested in design across different scales and media, particularly the ways objects and spaces can shape experiences and foster connection and curiosity. At PoD, she seeks to expand her practice beyond architecture by exploring narrative, materiality, and tangible design. Outside the studio, Gina enjoys riddle games and daydreaming.

Lexi Paulino is a Dominican, New York-born-and-raised multidisciplinary artist with a BFA in Fine Arts from the School of Visual Arts. Her practice spans painting, sculpture, character design, digital fabrication, and object-making, often drawing inspiration from everyday life, humor, nostalgia, and the objects and characters people grow attached to. Lexi is interested in creating work that extends beyond traditional art objects, transforming characters into toys, ideas into objects, and playful concepts into everyday experiences. With a background in animal welfare, she is also interested in exploring connections between her creative practice and her love of animals.

Ana Olea Barragán is a designer and researcher from Mexico City whose practice begins with asking, “what if?” Neurodivergent, she brings an unconventional, deeply imaginative approach to every problem she tackles, driven by a passion for design, creation, and imagination. She studied Communication Sciences at Universidad de las Américas before earning an MA in Design Studies from CENTRO de Diseño, Cine y Televisión, where her thesis explored healthcare design for rare diseases. Graduating Cum Laude, her work was presented at the NORD Rare Diseases and Orphan Products Breakthrough Summit, and published in CENTRO’s Economía Creativa magazine. Prior to joining MFA Products of Design, Ana spent three years as a consultant at Accenture Song and founded Picabia, a handcrafted leather goods venture. Her practice is rooted in human-centered design, with a focus on creating thoughtful products and experiences that have purpose and meaning. As she puts it: design for humans, by humans.

A multi-disciplinary creative, his work spans furniture, product design, art, and material development, often exploring the boundaries between disciplines. Raised in Hong Kong by American parents, Ethan draws on his experience growing up between cultures and his early exposure to manufacturing and design. His practice explores how objects can spark conversation and encourage people to question their purpose, function, and meaning. He is particularly interested in using design to foster connection and build communities around shared problem-solving.

Yi-Cheng Su (YC) is a designer from Taiwan whose practice begins with observation. He earned a Bachelor of Architecture from Feng Chia University, where he developed an interest in how people inhabit and create meaning within their environments, and earned First Prize in the Kaohsiung Architects Association National Student Design Competition. Before joining MFA Products of Design, he worked at Collective Practice, an architecture-based immersive design studio, where he expanded his understanding of interaction beyond physical space. Yi-Cheng’s work explores how subtle interventions can shape the way people experience and relate to their everyday environments across physical and digital contexts.

Bowen Tian is a multidisciplinary designer from Tianjin, China. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management from Auburn University and gained industry experience as an intern at Boeing in Tianjin before pursuing an MFA in Industrial Design at California College of the Arts. He later transferred to MFA Products of Design at SVA to further develop his practice. Combining a background in supply chain management with industrial design, Bowen approaches creative problem-solving with a strategic and practical perspective.
