Michael Chung
Freelance Industrial Designer, Filmmaker
Michael is a freelance industrial designer, filmmaker and photographer working in New York City. Recently, he was a lead designer and content guide in IDEO’s New York studio, having joined IDEO’s Palo Alto studio as an industrial designer in 1997. Michael is originally from Hong Kong and brings a unique sense of Asian culture and design to each of his projects. Michael is also a cinematographer and filmmaker. He has worked on a wide range of projects for clients such as Johnson & Johnson, Chase, Eileen Fisher, Intel, HP, Zyliss, Handspring, Motorola, and Samsung, and has received a number of awards and recognition for his work from IDSA, ID Magazine, iF Design Hannover, Red Dot, and INDEX. He has spoken at National Design Week organized by the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum.
