Pau Garcia

Co-Founder & Director, Domestic Data Streamers

Pau Aleikum is the cofounder and director of the studio Domestic Data Streamers, which has spent the last decade at the forefront of blending data with design and participative art, turning the abstract, numbers, spreadsheets, databases, into tangible experiences. Their work has been in over 45 countries through a multitude of mediums: exhibitions, films, designs, robotics, and web and theatre productions that transform public spaces, schools, prisons, and even the United Nations Headquarters into interactive narratives. The studio's research is now focused on the project Synthetic Memories, creating images from interviews with AI, and recovering a visual heritage lost because of displacements, wars, climate change, or diseases such as dementia.

Pau is also the director of the Master in Data in Design at ELISAVA University and the founder and resident of HeyHuman!, an artist residency program that combines music, journalism, data art research, and social justice.
