Benefits of Our Design Job Fair

Products of Design students host and attend our Job Fair event twice during their MFA degree, meeting one-on-one with over 20 top design firms and global organizations. In addition to finding out if they are a good “match” for employment, the event helps students refine their interviewing skills, optimize their portfolios and résumés, and—perhaps most importantly—build their network. Students prepare for the event by working with portfolio coaches, résumé coaches, and interviewing industry experts to arrive at the event confident and fortified.

Job Fair FAQs

  • Every year in February, MFA Products of Design invites and hosts world-leading organizations and companies to spend the afternoon interviewing our students. Each student meets with approximately 10 companies, and repeats the process during both their first- and second-year studies.

  • Graduates of our SVA MFA design program go on to work intop design organizations both in New York City and around the world.‍ ‍Just some of the places where our students are now working include: Apple, Lego, Johnson & Johnson, IDEO, Frog Design, Google, Microsoft, Pentagram, Code & Theory, Deloitte, Spotify, Tinder, 18F, JP Morgan, Tiffany, and American Express. A big part of getting our students connected to these leading companies starts at our annual job fair event!
